With a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Piano from Monash University, Bradley specialises in jazz performance and improvisation. Lessons go far beyond the basics — you’ll explore modes, altered scales, chord voicings, and much more, so you too can sound like the greats!
CLASSICAL PIANO
Classical music is much more than reading notes on a page and playing them beautifully.
So many classical pianists don't know the functional harmony within a piece.
During the Baroque and Classical eras, improvisation was an essential skill.
Bach himself was renowned for improvising entire preludes and fugues on the spot.
Bradley will take you beyond the notes, and teach you fundamental chords which underpin the melody.
Using Roman Numerals and university level music theory, you'll be able to improvise, compose your own classical works as well as achieve technical mastery.
POP SONGWRITING
Bradley's ambition is to create the next generation of Singer-Piano-Players:
The next Elton Johns, Alicia Keys', Lady Gaga's and Billy Joels.
Together, we'll dissect what it is to create a hit song.
Bradley deconstructs hit songs in class and compares them with original works that you'll create.
By the end of your teaching semester, you will have created an original composition, with some of the best students creations, being recorded with the Alera Music Productions recording studio.
A high quality recording of your original song, once perfected, will be arranged, mixed and mastered as part of songwriting classes.
